This is rumoured to be one of the hardest module in the Aerospace Curriculum. However, it turned out to be manageable, perhaps because I have taken a module (MEC308) with similar content before during exchange.
There are two assignments for this course. The first assignment was using the Ritz method while the second assignment was solving a 2DOF aircraft structural dynamics problem and a binary flutter model question. The derivation of the 2DOF model provided in the lecture slides has an inherent assumption of a point mass body while stiffness is distributed, which is hardly appropriate. Nevertheless, I used the derivation provided in the lecture notes for the completion of the assignment.
