NUS Chemical Engineering Module Review: CN3135 Process Safety, Health and Environment

This course was taught entirely by Professor Reginald Tan. He is very eminent in the field of safety studies. Industrialists would have heard of him. He can be snide at times but his classes are largely enjoyable. The numerical models covered in this class are tougher than you would imagine. Make sure you understand the differences of the various puff and plume models.

This class gives you the mental fortitude to be a real engineer. No more equation crunching – a real engineer merely needs to know the section to refer to when called upon. This is exactly what you need to do. Make notes in the textbook so that you can draw out the right equations and information when needed. The textbook is very much a necessity. Exams are open book.
