NUS Computing Review: CS2040 Data Structures & Algorithms

30% CA

20% midterms

50% finals.

CA is comprised of 2 one day assignments worth 1% every week and 1 one week take home worth 2%, 2 Visualgo quizzes worth 8% and tutorial/lab participation.

All content was covered within 5 weeks. Don’t take this module in special term, it is too hectic and too fast. I learnt more from online youtube videos explaining DS&A than from the lecturer. CS1231 knowledge is needed despite there not being an explicit prerequisite. The TAs are generally good. In order to do well you basically need to eat sleep shit algorithms for 5 weeks. Don’t slack off like I did :(.
